MAH #2 Riser/ Pipeline Releases

This type of hazard is associated with the release from subsea pipeline or riser outboard of the topside Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system, due to leakages, and potential buckling / fatigue and thermal growth issues. This hazard can potentially lead to loss of command and control facilities and contribute to extensive fires and explosion ultimately resulting in multiple fatalities. Furthermore, this event could also result in environmental damage and asset damage, and likely to cause loss of company reputation.
